This past week was my first week of recovery after the Iron Horse 50 mile ultra race, so I only ran Saturday. After I ran I realized that I should have simply taken this week off completely. Running a full marathon and then a 50 mile ultra two weeks later is not something I will be doing again. (lesson learned) I was not recovered from the marathon, and my inexperience left me feeling like I could handle it. I am lucky I did not get injured, but it will take me awhile to fully recover.
