AAAaaaaaahhhhh! It sure was good to get some miles under my feet again. (3 weeks after 50 mile ultra)  This week I did speed training for the first time, which was a 3X800 interval (loved it, and will continue to build from there), and also participated in my first virtual race. (Now I wait to see if I will break for doing so much this soon.)  I think I will be OK, but will take it a little easier next week while still getting the miles in.

Hi Adam,
just stumbled on your blog. Saw that you are tentatively scheduled to do the San Fran Marathon in July. Great marathon…one of my favorites! Look forward to following your training.

Thanks for coming by my blog! I travel to Florida quite a bit (wife is from there), but mainly go west coast. I love running down there, particularly now. It is sunny, BRIGHT, warm and in the summer so humid for a New Yorker like me.

Good luck with your training, and 800 intervals are probably my favorite speed workout.

Bangin those miles out! Bet you’re ready to start cranking em out now that you’re pretty much recovered from your ultra. Keep it up! You’re so dang fast, wish I could keep up with you, lol.

Nice work on getting back out there. I have NO idea what a proper recovery is for a 50 miler, but you seem to be taking it slow and doing a great job of it!
