What a GREAT week, I’m lovin’ it. This is the first week I have broken 50 miles since February when I ran my first 50 mile ultra. I can say that 50 miles a week seems to agree with me. I feel very good. Looking at my training schedule for the next 15 weeks I noticed I will stay above this number the entire time, and will even bump 74 in mid-January.
Well, it is official. I have entered the 2010 Space Coast Marathon in the end of November, and also sent in my registration for the 2011 Iron Horse 100 mile ultra in mid-February. I always feel better after finally registering for events. It just seems to give more meaning to my training. Of course there is a bit of apprehension about doing my first 100 mile ultra-marathon, but I am very excited at the same time.
There is a small possibility that I may still do the 2011 Disney Marathon in early January, but I have not committed to it yet. We shall see.
